Sedum is easy to maintain and requires little water and nutrients. Grown in a shallow layer of lightweight low nutrient growing media. Regionally specific fll approved lightweight blends of inorganic and organic components are sourced and available for delivery in bulk small bag or super sacks totes. Sedum roofs are extensive green roofs that have a media depth of 3 8 inches.

Sedum is very resilient to diseases and insects pests. Sedum can withstand drought for example in very hot summers. Sedum or other succulent plants grown into low level substrates for construction on flat roofs and podium decks. Sedum roofs with a natural drainage layer are designed to maximize water retention while sedum roofs with a synthetic drainage layer may focus more on minimizing weight.

An instant green roof pre grown at our farm in specially designed cassettes. Sedum options are available in un rooting sedum cuttings plugs pre grown sedum tiles 15 x20 and pre grown sedum mats 4 x 6. There are two variations for the system build up. Extensive sedum green roofs utilise drought tolerant plant species which are typically sedum species.
